11. Genealogy Going Mainstream

    I watched the Friday episode of "Who Do You Think You Are," as I'm sure millions of other Americans did, including YOU. It's both interesting and frustrating to see programs like that, as I imagine will the Henry Gates PBS version on Sunday.
   We probably shouldn't quibble about methodology, though, but just enjoy the ride. I admit I preferred the Reba McIntire show, as Reba was much more hands on and proactive in her search. Helen Hunt just seemed to sit in libraries and look on as others passed documents at her.
   Reba seemed to understand that genealogy is a lot of work! And that's all I have to say about that...
