34. IMCPL: Indiana State and County Histories

The Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library downtown has an impressive collection of Indiana and Indiana County materials on its shelves. Every book you see in these photos is part of that collection.

Each county has a section with numerous items, and the books are in good repair and ready to be photocopied.

Opposite these shelves to the right is a large Indiana military collection, including numerous Civil War regimental histories.
Most Hoosier genealogy researchers could spend many pleasurable and fruitful hours in this Second Floor area.
Good Hunting--and don't forget the covered parking and the snack bar!
