85. The German-English School of Indianapolis

The Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library has a great specialized resource for German ancestral research here in the city.

The book, published in 1913 (public domain!), is in the Indianapolis restricted collection, so you have to ask for it.

The librarian said that scanning or photocopying is OK.

There are over 100 photos and short bios of men and women from 1854 to 1904--teachers, parents, and trustees.

There are 13 pages of student listings, starting with this one.

For all of you who can't or don't want to visit Indy to check this out, there just happens to be a reprint available on Amazon. (Skiddely Scat, Imagine That!)
