151. Danville Public Library, Indiana Room

When you visit many public libraries around the state, you always need to inquire about the "Indiana Room," if they have one. This is where you will find the local genealogy collection, as well as the historical items that can be used for genealogy.
Today, as we continue our tour of the Indy ring counties, we can visit one of the best Indiana Rooms in the area, the one in the Danville Public Library in Hendricks County. Ably operated by librarian Cindy Rutledge, Danville's genealogy collection is an excellent small library collection and well worth a visit.
    The library is at 101 S. Indiana Street, Danville 46122, and is open Mon-Thurs 9 to 8 and Fri-Sat 9 to 5. (317) 745-2604 indianaroom@dplindiana.org

A lot of good material to investigate.

They specialize in local items--naturally.
