[As a side note, The Indiana Genealogical Society Board of Directors will meet there on February 2nd, so why not combine a visit with IGS and get a two-fer!]
This is my unofficial, highly partial, and definitely opinionated view of the genealogy scene in and around Indianapolis, Indiana.

194. Plainfield Library Resources
If your folks migrated at bit westward from Indy (wow, there's a shocker!), you might be interested in the genealogy resources at the Plainfield Public Library. They recently had a rearrangement of their family history materials, and now have a nice Indiana Room similar to several other area libraries.
The library also has a good digital and Internet presence, in case you can't rush right over there. Along with the Danville Library, Hendricks County has two good family history sites. Give them a look-see.
