261. Unclaimed Veterans' Remains To Arlington

     If you are not familiar with the MIAP program and the thousands of unclaimed remains stored around the U.S.A., you might visit the following ceremony. Surely some family member could be found for all these folks. A good genealogy project for someone or several someones.

for “Missing in America” Veterans

The cremated remains of six unclaimed Indiana veterans will be transported to Arlington National Cemetery for inurnment. These veterans were discovered in Flanner and Buchanan’s unclaimed storage vaults by a special task force. Included in this list are two brothers who come from a prominent family in Indiana history. This ceremony will celebrate the lives of these individuals before they are taken to Washington D.C.

The public is invited to attend.
