328. State Archives Tours Oct 1

I received a postcard announcing an event at the Indiana State Archives October 1st. It's addressed to the members of the Friends of the Archives. I don't know if this is just for FISA members or not. I went to the regular State Archives website for an announcement, but the site hasn't been updated since 2010 [at least it looks that way!]. I suppose if you're not a member and want to attend, you should call the Archives and inquire. (I hope they invited a few legislators, so they could see our famously dilapidated Archives!)
Dear FISA members:

I would like to invite you to a commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Indiana State Archives, which was established by law on October 1, 1913. In celebration of the event, the Archives will be hosting an event from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1st.
Archives’ staff will provide tours that include the Archives’ vault which holds some of the State’s most valued records. Please plan to stop by and receive your free commemorative Archives Month poster.
The State Archives is located at 6440 East 30th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219. Additional location information is available here:
            See you on October 1st!

Jim Corridan, Director & State Archivist
