612. Carmel Library October Genealogy Classes

[If you live north, Sue Dillon has some interesting sessions at the Carmel Library you might want to take a look at.]

Genealogy is definitely a moving target with so many changes to our familiar websites and accesses to new resources coming online daily.  October’s and November’s Genealogy Forum will address those changes to Ancestry and Family Search.
October 20, Tues. (1-2 PM) - “New Ancestry and Wills/Probates are here.  How to Use Them”  presented by Sue Dillon in the Computer Training Room, Carmel Library
November 17, Tues.,  (1-2 PM) “Family Search – How to find its Wealth of New Online Records ”  in the Computer Training Room, Carmel Library
October 7, 14, 21, 28, November 8 – Wednesdays at 6:30-8:30 PM Computer Training Room.
This 5-week class includes how to get started, how to organize your information, what kinds of records are available and how to find them.   Everything builds on the first class so it is important to attend the October 7 session.  A comfort level with computers is recommended.  The course is free but limited to 18 and attendees need to register by calling the reference desk at the library (844-3362).  Taught by Sue Dillon
