766. Ever Visit Ireland?

If your ancestry includes any Kelly's in the Emerald Isle, take a look at this chance to visit the island and to maybe find some relatives. Unfortunately, I have lots of Irish connections, but no Kellys.

764. Historical Society Active In Genealogy

The Indiana Historical Society seems to be getting into genealogy with both feet lately. My attitude is "The More the Merrier." Judy Russell is always good (IGS featured her at their conference in Terre Haute not long ago), and GSMC had Tina Beaird in town in October for a great series of presentations. Time to pencil in some events on your calendar!

763. Planning Ahead For Fall?

Are you one of those folks who plan your genealogy year around workshops and conferences? If so, you might print out this reminder about a great event coming to Allen County in ten months. (And you can combine it with a research session at ACPL--how great is that!)

761. Put Your Charitable Dollars To The Best Use

This may not be too genealogy related, but, as a military retiree and someone with many military veterans in the family, I thought this might be a good reminder. We are in a new IRS year, so take a look at getting the most bang for your charitable dollars. You can also look on the Better Business Bureau site for charitable group ratings.
